He cares for me!

I've been reading the book of Isaiah This month, and it's been such a comfort to me.  I want to share with you one of the passages i really love and why.

Isa 40:27-41 The Message Version
"Why would you ever complain, O Jacob,

    or, whine, Israel, saying,
God has lost track of me.
He doesn’t care what happens to me”?
Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening?
God doesn’t come and go. God lasts.
He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
    gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind."

I'm 47 years old and I often don't have the energy I used to have when I was younger.  I can't do everything I want to do each day; my "prime time" is limited and I must select to do the most important things first.  And sometimes I can feel that I'm not making a difference in my life or that God has overlooked me (lie from Satan).  But the scripture says, "he energizes those who get tired" and "God doesn't come and go, he lasts."  Amen!  My energy comes from God, and He hasn't lost track of me, He's steadfast and I have hope that I can be, too.

Down the Jersey Shore!

Got away yesterday to Island Beach State Park with my family!  The water was the perfect temperature.  We went boogie boarding, then to the amusement park and saw fireworks.  I love the middle picture of our three sons facing the water, all in a row from oldest to youngest.

Fun Class!

Buy 3 get 1 free Designer Series Papers through July 31st!

We had so much fun at my Gingham, Gingham Everywhere class last night!  I got a picture before class but forgot to take one during class. Oh well.  Here's some additional tags we made and a birthday card I made after class last night for my neighbor who is having a birthday tomorrow.  Oh, and check out my homemade blueberry pie!  It's not a gingham class until pie is served!

Garden Progress

Well, our garden is growing with all the rain we've had.  The pumpkins and gourds have flowered, the tomato and string beans are growing taller and taller but no fruit yet.  I've had to spray the leaves with a natural bug repellent made from water and mild dish washing soap detergent.  Worked like a charm when the insects started eating the leaves of both plants.  I did enjoy some romaine lettuce already, even though it had a slight bitter taste to it.  Here's some pictures...

Sad Day

Today I had to make two sympathy cards for an uncle and a friend who passed away this week.  Very sad.  I wanted to share them on my blog because I like how they came out and I think they're pretty.  I hope the families get much comfort from them and whatever else I can do to help support them at this time.
