Spiral Flower Pins!

My friend, Kathy, came over this morning to help me work on these very cool Spiral Flower Pins.  We are going to Merry Heart Nursing Home on Sunday (before the Super Bowl) to give these out to some of the residents there.

I took 2012-2014 In Color Cardstock and cut out the flowers with the Spiral Flower Originals Die.  I hot glued the bottom together and added a pin and a leaf!  The leaf was made by folding a piece of the Green Gumball Cardstock from the In Color pack in half and crimping it with a crimping tool.  Then I cut out a half leaf out of it on the spine of the fold and when opened it's a whole leaf!
Seth, one of the young men from our group, sang a song for the residents while playing the guitar.

Here's my son Zack talking to one of the residents.  In front, another resident is wearing the hand made flower pin.
They all had a wonderful time!

Eagle Enrichment Class #2 Personalized Journals

I printed out a bunch of Journaling Headers for the All About Me journal on my PC on Pistachio Pudding Cardstock such as Favorites, Color, Number, Food and Interests and What I Want to be When I Grow Up.  I will show you their finished products during class in 2 weeks.

More Sale a Bration Sneak Peeks!

I love the Sale a Bration products being offered this year!  If you have never heard of Sale a Bration, it's Stampin' Up!s biggest promotion of the year.  For every $50.00 spent on products, you will receive a free stamp set or product from the Sale a Bration Catalog!  Sale starts Jan 28- Mar 31 2014.

I used the Sweet Sorbet DS Paper measured at 5 1/2" X 1 3/4" for the band and twine in Crisp Cantalope, Pool Party and Summer Startfruit from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack from the Sale a Bration Catalog to create all three cards.  The banners are cut at 4 1/4" X 1/2" for the longest one, 3 1/8" X 5/8" for the middle sized one and 2 5/8" X 1/2" for the smallest one.  In addition, I used Basic Black, Summer Starfruit and Pool Party Cardstock to make the other banners.  I also used Basic Metal Buttons from the Occasions Catalog and Four You Stamp Set to stamp the sentiments.

Retro Fresh Designer Tag Cards and Scrapbook Pages!

I just LOVE the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags!! They are so versatile!  Not only can you make super quick and easy cards with them but also they make putting together your scrapbook pages a piece of cake!

I took Whisper White Cardstock as a cardbase and layered it with Pool Party Cardstock cut at 4" by 5 1/4" and used the Hexagon Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to give it dimension.  Then I used the Retro Fresh Washi Tape and Pool Party 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon to add the final touches.

We will be making both of these 12" by 12" layouts at my next scrapbooking class at the end of Jan.  I used Tangerine Tango, So Safron, Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana Cardstock and Retro Fresh DS Paper for the banners.  I measured the banners at 2", 1 1/8" and 1/2" and cut the ends out free hand or you could use the Banner Framelits Dies.  I used the Retro Fresh Journaling Tags to personalize this page using the High Five Tag and Notebook Page Tag.  Then I used the Pumpkin Pie button in the Brights Designer Buttons and Island Indigo Baker's Twine and cut out triangles to embellish the corners.

I personalized this page with my son's name using the Notable Alphabet stamp set stamped on So Saffron Paper and punched out with the 3" Circle Die.  I used the Retro Fresh DS Paper cut at 12" by 6" and placed in the down the middle of the page and a piece of Retro Fresh Washi Tape on the left side and right side and on top of each picture.  The arrow is one of the tags from the Retro Fresh Journaling Tags, too!  The color of the 12" by 12" page is pool party.

Minecraft Creeper Cards!

It's New Year's Day and my 7 year old wanted to do something.  So I said, "Let's make Creeper Cards!"  Now there are alot of Creeper Cards out there but I wanted to make just the face on a green background and the card itself being the shape of it's head.  Of course it's not just on any green background.  It's on a Wild Wasabi green background.

It's so easy to make these cards!  All you need to do is get some Basic Black Cardstock and cut out 5 pieces: 2 X 1"by 1" pieces for the eyes, a 1" by 1 1/2" piece for the nose/and part of the mouth, and 2 X 1/2" by 1 1/2" pieces for the rest of the mouth.  Then just assemble as the samples above onto 4 pieces of Wild Wasabi Cardstock cut in four and scored down the middle to make 4 cards measuring 4 1/4" by 5 1/2".  The stamp set I used is called Four You (wood or clear) and it is one of my favorites!  I stamped all four sentiments from this set in Basic Black Classic Ink.  Enjoy this time with your kids!  These are great to do for a birthday party, too!
