Hybrid Mother's Day Card using My Digital Studio!

I'm super excited about this card because I've been wanting to make hybrid cards for the last month but haven't had the time until yesterday. "Hybrid" cards or scrapbook pages combine traditional Stampin' Up! products layered on top of digital creations made with My Digital Studio.  And you can try My Digital Studio FREE for 30 days to see if you like it.

Using MDS2 free trial software, I clicked on Individual Pages and used the 81/2 X 11 Portrait to start.  Then I chose the Apron from Celebrate Any Day and colored it Summer Starfruit and used Drop Shadow at 75% for dimension.  Then I used the Mother's Day sentiment from All Holidays and placed it under the apron.  I left it black.  To make the banner, I used the Banner Blast punch , Sweet Sorbet DS Papers and Summer Starfruit Twine from the Sale A Bration Catalog and Summer Starfruit, Pool Party and Basic Black Cardstock.  Then I added pearls on the apron for added dimension. and VOILA!  I love how it came out!

Last After School Enrichment Class!

We had so much fun creating note cards in my last rubberstamping class at our after school elementary enrichment program.  I love how they made the animals around the border of the notecard.  Never would have thought to do that.  They were so creative!

Here are some of the great cards one of my student's created.  We decorated the Full Wood Mount Case to hold our note cards.

They loved the Life in the Forest and Just Sayin' Stamp Sets!

We used blender pens and ink pads to color in the images.  I showed them how to close the ink pad and squeeze the top so the ink pools in the cover top.  Then use the blender pen to pick up the color from the ink top and use it to color in their projects for a watercolor effect.

Getting this thank you note from my students is what it's all about!

Candy Purses!

We made these 3 adorable candy purses filled with Hershey Nuggets for my week #3 after school rubberstamping class.  The girls loved them.  These purses are very small but they are big in fun, creativity and chocolate!

To make the gold purse, I cut a strip of 4" X 1 1/4" inch Sweet Sorbet DS Paper and layered it on the gold foil strip of paper cut at 4 1/4" X 1 1/2."  Then I cut a strip of gold sequins and used glue dots to secure it to the underside of the purse flap.  I made the button with the Blossoms Clay Mold and Simply Pressed Clay and glued it to the purse with Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive

Stampin' Supplies Used:
Paper: Sweet Sorbet DS Paper #133521 (Sale A Bration p. 11)
Ink and Markers: Basic Black Marker #100082, Basic Black Classic Ink #126980, p.145
Stamps: Small heart from Just Sayin’ Stamp Set #133200 (Celebrate the Everyday p. 36)

Accessories: Basic Metal Buttons #133319 (CtE p. 26), Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (SAB p. 12). Black ¾”Chevron Ribbon #130010 p. 173, Gold Sequin Trim #132983 (CtE p.23), Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds #131272 p. 167, Simply Pressed Clay #130685 p. 167, Big Shot Die- Cutting Machine #113439, p. 184, Petite Purse Bigz L Die #125606, p. 193

This purse was hands-down all of our favorites in the class.  The tiny tag was made with Whisper White Cardstock cut into the shape of a tag and punched with a 1/16" circle punch.  I layered  a strip of Sweet Sorbet DS Paper cut at 4 1/4" X 1 1/4" cutting the corners at a 45 degree angle onto a strip of Pool Party Cardstock cut at 4 1/4" X 1 1/2" also cutting the corners at a 45 degree angle and punched both sides at the top with a 1/8" circle punch.  I used the heart from the Just Sayin' Stamp Set and stamped it in a Gold Encore Ink Pad.  I re-created the black ink spots with a Basic Black Marker.  What fun!

Valentine's for my 3 Boys and Husband!

I can't say I'm one to make a big deal on Valentine's Day because I always figured if you love someone you love them everyday, but this year I decided to write a love note to each of my boys and husband instead of a making cards.

In the note, I wrote about how special each one of them are to me.  After I was finished writing I was so filled with loving thoughts for my family in my heart that it spilled over into the rest of my day.

Here's the gift bags I made them.  Inside each is chocolate bark from Nagel's Candy Barn.

They loved their bags, chocolate and especially the hand-written, personalized note I wrote each of them.  Happy Valentine's Day!

Make your own personalized gift bags with the Tag a Bag Bundle and Million & One Stamp Set !  And spend $50 on SU! products now until Mar 31st and receive a free Sale A Bration Product!
My love notes made it to our refrigerator door.  Pretty cool!

Nana's Doughnuts!

Whenever the kids are home or it's a snow day I love to break out the bread machine and make homemade doughnuts like my Nana used to make:
After making the dough with this bread machine doughnuts recipe, I roll out the dough onto a floured surface.  My boys love to help me during this process.

Then we heat canola oil in a large skillet and put the doughnuts in.  We cut the dough with the floured rim of a juice cup making sure to put a hole in the middle so it cooks evenly.
Then when it's golden brown on both sides, cover the doughnuts with powdered sugar and enjoy!

Personalized Journals!

We had so much fun making our personalized journals at the after school enrichment program where I teach 4th grade girls rubberstamping.  We made 3 pages each during the class and they looked forward to continue working on their masterpieces at home.  They really loved them! I think that the most rewarding part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is showing others the joy of creating something beautiful and expressing themselves through paper crafting!

We decorated the front cover of their Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit with a doily, gold baker's twine and gold sequins from the kit.  Then we added Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape, gold hearts punched with the Small Heart Punch from Gold Foil Sheets and then stamped their name with Notable Alphabet Stamp Set on Crisp Cantelope Cardstock.
For our second page, we used the gold heart, button and flower diecut from the kit in addition to the Ampersand Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on Pistachio Pudding Cardstock and sponged with Pistachio Pudding Classic Ink and cut out banners with the Banner Framelits Dies on the paper provided by the kit and and on Real Red Cardstock.
For our last page we used the pear paper, diecuts and the gold baker's twine from the kit.  We layered the notepaper from the kit and the So Happy diecut on Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock.  We added ink splatters on the notepaper with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and Calypso Coral Classic Ink.

Go for the Gold Challenge!

With the Olympics starting tonite, my upline, Patty Bennett gave us a challenge to create something using the gold accessories from the Celebrate the Everyday Catalog.  So with Valentine's Day right around the corner, here's my sample...

I used Whisper White Cardstock 100730 for the card and the layer in front of the card.  I used the Ampersand Embossing Folder 132970 to create the textured first layer.  Then I used the gold heart clip from the Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit 133332, Gold Baker's Twine 132975, and the clear Just Sayin' Bundle 134820 to create the adorable "Love Ya" bubble and heart stamped with Real Red Classic Ink 126949.  Stampin Dimensionals are behind both the first layer and the word bubble for added dimension.  Go team USA and good luck to everyone!

Prepared for my Valentines Class Feb 11!

Here are the 2 projects we'll be making at my Valentine's Day Class I'm having Tuesday night, February 11th at my house.

I made the card using the Language of Love Stamp Set 133074 in the Celebrate the Everyday Catalog and the Oh, Goodie! Stamp Set 131886 from the Holiday catalog that will be carried over to the New 2014/2015 Catalog.  I used the white polka dot and Crumb Cake paper from the Fresh Prints DS Paper Stack 132996.  Other supplies used: Gold Baker's Twine 132975, Cherry Cobbler 119685 and Soft Suede 115318, Cardstock,  Gold Foil Sheets 132622 and Full Heart Punch 119883.

For the box, I used Kraft Gift Boxes 124106, Whisper White Cardstock 100730, Gold Sequin Trim 132983 , Water Color Wonder Washi Tape 133000 and Very Vintage Designer Buttons 129327 in addition to the supplies above.  The stamp set is from the Sale a bration catalog and is called See Ya Later 133533.  You can earn it by spending $50 on product.   I used the small heart punch 117193 to cut out the gold foil sheets.
